ASB Polyfest 2012

St Peter's College's cultural groups take part in the renowned Polyfest in Auckland every year. The groups meet regularly to choreograph their performances. The three main cultural groups to participate at Polyfest are the Kapa Haka group, the Samoan group and the Tongan group. Together at this one event, the flavours of the Maori and the Pacific peoples meet in one glorious and spectacular showcase of cultural talent via speech, art, movement & music.

Students from Year 7 to 13 take part in this special occasion on our annual calendar and the event is growing each year as more and more students wish to acknowledge their cultural heritage.

From the ASB website:

"ASB Polyfest will be held on 14-17 March 2012, at the Manukau Sports Bowl, Manukau City

The festival is an iconic annual event that celebrates the pride and passion of our Maori and Pacific Island communities through cultural song, dance, speech and art. The Diversity Stage allows other ethnic groups to be represented also. It is a place where we celebrate youth and all that they bring to the future."
