St Peter’s College

Catholic School for Boys

Year 7 – Year 13

An integrated Catholic Y7-13 school for boys.  Applicants must be committed to the achievement of boys’ learning, be supportive of the College’s Catholic character and be committed to the college’s co-curricula programme.  All applicants will be NZ registered teachers.  The college enters boys in the Cambridge International examinations and welcomes applications from teachers supportive of this qualification.

 

 

HOF Humanities (3MU).  A vacancy for HOF Humanities to commence in 2011.  Please state main teaching subject.  Successful applicant will be required to demonstrate leadership in the faculty and College community – through a meaningful co-curricula activity and sound pedagogy.  A job package is available through the Principal’s PA. 

        

Maths to senior scholarship level, commence February 2011.  A vacancy for a skilled mathematics teacher who will engage boys in maths to the highest levels.  This position is because of roll growth.  First year teachers are welcome to apply.  The successful applicant will be required to contribute to the College community of boys/parents in a meaningful, co-curricula activity.   

 

Physics to scholarship levels, commence February 2011.  A physics teacher who will engage boys in physics and science to the highest levels.  Please state other supporting science subjects.  First year teachers are welcome to apply.  The successful applicant will be required to contribute to the College community of boys/parents in a meaningful, co-curricula activity.

 

English to scholarship levels, commence February 2011.  A vacancy for a skilled English teacher who will engage boys in the craft of English.  Please state your strength within the English discipline.  This position is because of roll growth.  First year teachers are welcome to apply.  The successful applicant will be required to contribute to the College community of boys/parents in a meaningful, co-curricula activity.

 

Religious Studies to senior classes, commence February 2011.  The successful applicant will be well qualified in Religious Studies and be within the Catholic faith tradition.  There is a requirement to contribute actively to the College community in a meaningful co-curricula activity.  

 

Middle School Teacher (year 7 or year 8), commence February 2011.  The successful applicant will be a skilled practitioner in engaging boys to learn.  A sporting interest is essential.  Please state curriculum strengths.  This position is because of roll growth.  First year teachers are welcome to apply.  The successful applicant will be required to contribute to the College community of boys/parents in a meaningful, co-curricula activity.

 

Year 7 Team Leader (2MU) (fixed term 1 year to commence 2011).  This position (fixed term 1 year 2011) is the result of a paternity leave position.  The successful applicant will be required to lead the year 7 team positively in both curriculum and pastoral events.  The successful applicant will be required to contribute to the College community of boys/parents in a meaningful, co-curricula activity.
