10 Chinese
A
full year course designed to enable the student to communicate about
himself, his interests and his immediate environment. This course
is a preparation for NCEA level 1.

Year
11 Chinese
A
full year course enabling the student to communicate in greater
detail about himself and others, and to communicate in familiar
or realistic contexts: making bookings, going to the doctor, discussing
holidays, going to restaurants etc. Students in year 11 will do
NCEA level 1. IGCSE Chinese is a mid year exam and may be sat in
June/July of the year in which a student is doing year 12. This
will happen for the first time in 2008.
