Attendance
CLASS
ATTENDANCE:
A
roll is taken at the daily Morning Assembly by the Form Teacher
and at every class by the subject teacher. The Attendance Officer,
Mrs.Strong Ext. 7341, checks attendance at the start of the day
and period by period. Parents will be contacted by an automated
early notification system to verify any unauthorised absence of
their son if a parent has not notified the College Attendance Office
by 8.30 am .
ABSENCE
FROM SCHOOL:
Please
phone the Attendance Officer, Mrs.Strong Ext.7341, if your son is
unable to come to school for any reason. When your son returns to
school after his absence he must bring a note stating the number
of days absent and the reason for his absence. This note must be
signed by a parent and be given to your son's Form Teacher even
if there has already been phone contact.
LEAVING
COLLEGE GROUNDS:
Boys
will remain on the College property throughout the day, unless given
written permission from the boy's Year Level Dean. The Dean will
only grant permission if a signed letter is received from the boy's
parents giving their consent to their son to leave the College grounds.
Appointments
for the Doctor, Orthodontist, Physiotherapist, etc… should be made
outside College hours if possible.
MEDICAL
CENTRE:
A boy who needs medical attention
while at school must report to the College Medical Centre. The nurse
will assess his illness and provide the appropriate treatment. If
the boy needs to leave school due to his illness, the College Nurse
will make contact with the boy's parents. Boys must not make contact
with their parents and arrange for them to come and collect them from
school without the Nurse's permission.
