Fair News - 11th March
Hello again wonderful SPC Community!
We urgently need your help & are making a desperate plea to find people NOW to take on some key roles for us in preparation for next year’s fair. This is URGENT, as we need these people to be able to learn from & ‘shadow’ our current holders of these roles this time round! Below, please see the roles needing filling with a brief description, and for more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call or text Tracy Cox on 021 725 367 as soon as possible! Please note that all of these roles have a team of helpers as well as the full support of the SPC Fair Committee so you’re not flying solo! A calm nature with good organisational skills and the ability to delegate is a plus!
– SILENT AUCTION PORTFOLIO HOLDER(s) – Looking for preferably 2 people to share this role. Oversees the coordination of the Silent Auction including contacting past & new possible donors, arranging collection/delivery of donated goods & coordinating helpers for the running of the Silent Auction Stall leading up to and on Fair Day
– SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR – Coordinates & seeks sponsorship for the SPC Fair ensuring appropriate recognition & acknowledgement is given to sponsors in the lead up to, on the day of & post the Fair. Works closely with the Silent Auction P/F Holder.
– PRE-LOVED GOODS PORTFOLIO HOLDER – This role oversees the 5 areas of our Pre-Loved stalls. Each of these stalls have their own Stall Holders to run them, so this is mostly a coordination / communication role overseeing the smooth running of these stalls in the lead up to, during Collections week & & on the day of the Fair.
– WHITE ELEPHANT STALL HOLDER – Overseeing the setting up, running of and collections for this stall which has one of the biggest volunteer support bases within our Fair.
We are also on the urgent look out for a COFFEE CART who is willing to donate, if not all, a large part of the sales to the school on the day please. Let us know if you’re keen or know someone who could help!
On another note, attached please find info about this week’s final Fair Collection MUFTI DAY happening this Friday 15th March! We’ve changed things up a bit as to which house is being asked to bring what, so please read the info carefully! THANK YOU in advance for all your wonderful goodies which will go towards helping with our Quick Fire Hampers, Lucky Dips and more!
And finally, if you haven’t already, please click on the following links to VOLUNTEER to help us during Fair weekend. We are currently still about 300 volunteers short which is a bit scary at this stage in the game! Even if you can only spare a couple of hours, we would appreciate it!

Fair News - 6th March
updated 6th March 2019
Hello there St Peters College Families & Friends!
Firstly THANK YOU in advance for taking the time to read through these TWO FAIR ATTACHMENTS as they contain some VERY important information, along with some requests, please (& even a bit of begging!!) for all sorts of bits & pieces we are in desperate need for our College Fair! As we are now just under 3 weeks away from the 2019 SPC Fair, being held on Sunday 24th March 11am-3pm.
This year we are aiming to again raise over $100,000 to help contribute toward outfitting the new Chapel. Our $102,000 raised last year went towards building the brand new multi-tiered seating & shaded area for our students located behind the Yard Assembly area. This is now open for the boys to enjoy and we are delighted to have been a part of this initiative. It is from YOUR support as the SPC Community that this was possible, so THANK YOU!
As the saying goes, it takes a village, so now WE NEED YOU again & we appreciate anything & everything you can do to help us out – please read the attached two fliers & get in touch asap!
If you are able to help with ANY of these requests in ANY way, don’t assume someone else will do it, please just email us as soon as possible on email@example.com or call/text Tracy Cox on 021 725 367.
THANK YOU once again!
