St Peter’s has a large variety of cultural activities to cater for the diverse interests of students.

From Music to Debating, Drama to Kapa Haka; there are many opportunities to become involved in cultural events.

The cultural diversity of St Peter’s can be witnessed on a day-to-day basis and we celebrate our multi-cultural St Peter’s Community.

Kapa Haka

(The saying is this, may we always live by our motto ‘To Love and To Serve’ remembering the disadvantaged of the world).

This whakataukī is imbedded within our prayer that we say daily, for Kotahitanga this is our guiding light.

(Kotahitanga) SPC kapahaka has a proud history that illustrates how our kaupapa Kotahitanga has enhanced the mana of our College, whānau, respective iwi and hapū for a number of years.  This year is no different as we prepare for a new set of challenges.

We encourage all students that are wanting to understand tāngata whenua and our ahurea (culture), take up the challenge and come on a journey of whanaungatanga (brotherhood), ako (learn/teach) and kotahitanga (unity).

SPC is proud to have a thriving Tongan community, with a dedicated parents’ committee supporting our students in their educational journey and cultural identity. Together we celebrate achievements, plan events and lead initiatives like Polyfest, SPC Fair Tongan Food Stall and Tongan Language Week to share our culture with the wider school community. The meetings, held twice a term, provide a space to connect and work together to support our students to be the best they can be. All Tongan families are welcome, come and be part of something special.
