The St Peter’s Samoan Community Parents Komiti (Tautua mo Samoa Komiti) plays an active role in the support of our young men at SPC.
This includes ensuring our young men are successfully engaged across all areas of the College.
BACKGROUND
In April 2013, the inaugural Samoan Parents Komiti was formed through a nomination process held at a Samoan parents community meeting at SPC. The first official meeting was held in June 2013 and an Executive Committee was formed. Komiti Membership is for a tenure of two years & elected through nomination process at a Samoan Community meeting.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Komiti is:
❖ To promote engagement with the community
❖ To foster working relationship with the College
❖ To support College initiatives, contributing to Samoan boys’ success
KEY EVENTS 2024
- SPC Samoan Community Annual General Meeting – Saturday 17th February 2024
- ASB Polyfest – 20th March 2024 to 23rd March 2024
- Tautua Academic and Aganu’u Polokalame – Term 2 and Term 3 (start date TBC)
- Samoa Language Week – Tuesday 4th to Friday 7th June 2024 (to be celebrated one week after the official SLW due to senior mid-year exams)
- SPC Samoan Community End of Year Celebration – Saturday 9th November 2024
