Frequently Asked Questions

What year levels can International Students start at St Peter’s

Year 7 – 13

What time of year can I start?

International students may commence studying at St Peter’s at any time during the year. It is preferable for students in Year 10 – 13 to start at the beginning of the year if possible. If that is not possible, we can look at placing students throughout the year.

What subjects can I study?

St Peter’s offers a wide range of subjects. See this link for a comprehensive overview of St Peter’s Curriculum:

St Peter’s Academic Information

Please note all subjects are taught in English. International students study together with New Zealand students. In years 7 – 10, students are taught core subjects (English, Mathematics, Religious Studies, Science, Humanities, Physical Education) as a whole class and in Year 10 – 13 students choose subject options that interest them.

ESOL

English for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL) is available for international students who need extra help in English. The small classes are taken by a specialist ESOL teacher and students receive individual attention.
