Middle School Cricket

Terms Played 

  • Terms 4 and 1
  • Year 7 2024/25 – SPC teams will be selected in Sept 2024 for October – March season
  • Year 8 2024 (pre-Christmas) – SPC teams will be selected in Sept 2024 for October – December season
  • Year 9 season commences February – December (school year)
Game Days
  • Saturday morning (aligned with Parnell Cricket Club) – October – March in the Auckland Central Competition
  • Year 7 team and Year 8 team – Saturday 9.00 am – 12.30 pm
  • Central Zone Cricket –  refer to calendar – selected in Term 1.  Information will come directly from Middle School.  This team is independent of the Parnell/SPC Saturday team.
  • Sports Exchanges – refer to calendar
  • Milo Cup – Year 8 competition held in school time
Practice Times
3.15pm – 4.30pm once a week – depending on team

Practice Times – general guideline

1st XI, 2nd XI and Colts – twice a week
All other teams – once a week (day/time dependent on coach)

 

 

Costs
  • 1st XI – New players – $450
  • Colts – $200
  • 2nds – $150
  • Other teams – $100

 

Equipment

School provides a kit bag for each team. Students can use their own gear.

All players are to wear the SPC Cricket Shirt, cricket whites, and SPC sports cap.
(1st XI uniform provided)

  • Season starts beginning of term 1, then restarts in term 4. Boys must play both terms.
  • 1st, 2nd, Colts – Saturday, Week 1 of term 1
